Well the chick is far better looking than you,, thats for sure. But man did they screw her on the pay.. either you were way overpaid,, or she is getting hosed and don't know it.. How do they think a 24 year old can handle being the spokesperson for such a ding-aling as Carty??

You may have something going for you BES,, you could write a book about Toledo politics and be the Ohio version of Scott McClellan LOLLLLLLLLLL

Brian, I'm really sorry to see that you have lost your job. Though I understand that in politics, like professional sports, the only certianty about a job is that you will lose it.

Good luck in your future, I'm sure you will land on your feet and be successful in whatever you decide to do next.

I didn't find the link that Darby evidently did. If you could post it I'd appreciate it.

BES...So sorry to hear that although I have to admit the cartoon was kind of funny! If I am correct, you have been wanting to get out of that stressful environment for sometime now, haven't you? Now is a good time as any...And I agree with the others that say you will be successful in most whatever you try your hand at next!

Keep us posted how things are going....I think a book would be an awesome adventure for you!

After twice being hospitalized for chest pains, after suffering through an ulcer (a very dangerous condition for someone who's had stomach surgery) and literally fistfighting his boss, I'd say the time has come for me to move on.

The job with the port authority is iffy. I have a lot of support from elected officials of both parties. However, I made a few enemies in my time too. We'll see how it goes. Right now, I'm enjoying working from home. The mayor and I are not exactly on speaking terms, but he still wants me to write his speeches. No matter how angry we were at each other, he always said I was the best speechwriter he ever had.
