Well, this is a football thread, and I didn't see another one right off. Just thought I'd mention Michigan football and Coach Rich Rod. I wonder how the people that predicted he would fall flat on his face in the Big 10 feel now?

Sure is a nice turnaround so far. The kid Forcier looks pretty good (a bit fragile, though). I admit that the defense still needs work, but Rich seems to be doing the same thing he has done in his other stops, suck the first year and then get it going in the right direction.

I doubt that Michigan will finish at the top of the Big 10, but I figure they will make a bowl this year and challenge for the crown next year.

Go Blue!

For the record, I have been critical of Ohio State's out of conference scheduling in the past (rightfully so IMO). This year, I have to praise the Buckeyes, Navy and USC is a pretty formidable nonconference slate. Good job.

Yup so far Rich Rod has turned M from a big Ten contender into a mediocre big ten team.
Better than last year...and if big blue fans are happy with that, I'm happy for them.

Something had to give, Michigan had a coach that was like John Cooper. A decent coach, and a good guy. Couldn't beat Ohio State, therefore had to go.

So Rich had to get his type of players on the team, kind of meant that the old system had to be torn down before the new could be installed. He did it pretty quickly, IMO.

We'll see, I think the future looks pretty bright.
